I am working with the company that puts on this festival in June every year, trying to get sponsors for the festival. Hey, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do to pay the bills, right?  :-)

The Riviera Village Summer Festival is an arts and crafts fair in the heart of the Riviera Village, celebrating its 32nd year. The attendance is estimated at over 40,000 visitors with an attendance age of 21- 63 in the upper middle class range.

As well as the popular Arts and Crafts booths, the Festival offers Kiddie Rides/Carnival, a Hawaiian Village, a Beer, Wine & Spirits Garden, an International Food Court and 2 Sound Stages where popular bands will perform. The hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sat & 10a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Sponsored by the Riviera Village Association, the Summer Festival is open to Artisans and Expo merchants, as well as Sponsorships by businesses. Sponsorship participation is available on several levels:

$15,000 Presenting Sponsor As a Presenting Sponsor, your company will be designated as the exclusive category Sponsor presenting the Riviera Village Summer Festival. Your company will receive recognition on all promotional, advertising and publicity materials. You will also take prominent visibility on street banners and on all stage banners. You will be provided with a booth space in a prominent location of the venue, which may include: product sampling, surveying, on-site marketing, coupon distribution, point of purchase promotions, etc.

$10,000 Supporting Sponsor Your company will be designated as a Supporting Sponsor of the Riviera Village Summer Festival. As a Supporting Sponsor, your company will receive recognition on all promotional, advertising and publicity materials. You will have logo visibility on all stage banners, and you will be provided with a booth space in a prominent location.

$5,000 Associate Sponsor Your company will be designated an Associate Sponsor of the Riviera Village Summer Festival. As an Associate Sponsor, your company will receive logo recognition on all promotional, advertising and publicity materials. You will also have smaller logo visibility on all stage banners and your company will receive a booth space at the Festival.

If you, or someone you know  would like to be a part of this event, and get some great exposure, please let me know. I can forward more information and an application.  It really is a fun event, a great location, and wonderful South Bay exposure.

Thanks for the support! And either way, please plan to attend the event!

Pregnant with Twins March 6, 2011

No, not me, I’m not pregnant with twins again. OMG, I think I would die!

In the past week, I have heard of 3 people who are “spontaneously” pregnant with twins, which in this fertility-treatment-driven time, is a bit crazy. And in at least two of the cases, there were no twins in the family, so it was really unexpected; in fact at least one couple wasn’t even trying to get pregnant. Can you imagine?

“Uh oh, we weren’t careful enough, now we’re pregnant.” Then 5 months later, “Oh by the way, you’re having twins!” Ahhhh!

Last week I delivered a meal to one of the pregnant women.  I’m a member of the Beach Cities Parents of Multiples Club and this is a service we offer our new parents, we take turns delivering two meals to them.  This mom was in the last few days of her pregnancy but wanted to be prepared and have the meals ready to go in her freezer (smart cookie).    I so much enjoyed our first phone conversation, the slight panic in her voice bringing back memories, the satisfaction of being able to share some things to put some of that panic to rest, it was helpful, for both of us.

I took my twins with me the day I delivered the meal.  My son and daughter are almost 5.5 years old now.  She was thrilled to see them, see me still alive and well. ☺  She asked a bunch more questions, I gave her a bunch more advice, she was extremely thankful for the meal, and advice, and we were on our way.  Again, it was helpful, for both of us.  For obvious reasons for her, but for me, it was pleasurable to relive some of those memories I had forgotten, or just not thought of recently.  It was also very fulfilling to be able to help someone thru what I know is such an unreal experience.  Having two babies growing in your body is something that a person cannot explain properly.  Then those first few months of trying to rear those two tiny people, oh my, again, unexplainable.  So to be able to help someone, even just a little, thru those feelings is wonderful.

Are you a or do you have twins?  Do you feel that only people with your same experience truly get it?
