My and My Search
I am a So. Cal. native, born and raised, who loves to read, write, socialize, spend time with family and friends, and spends a lot of time on the computer.
I’ve been committed to the same man for 25 years, married 14 of those years. We have two great kids, 5 year old boy/girl twins. They attend a co-op preschool and we love being involved with that community.
This blog started out of frustration that at this time in my life I found myself searching for employment. However, it had become a very interesting adventure, one that many people found intriguing. So I decided to share the experience with the world, for curiosity’s sake, to get tips, give tips, and hopefully, find a job. As these things do, it organically grew into so much more. During this journey I have become a Mompreneur, adding some income generating ventures to my biggest, hardest, and no income generating job of being a mom. I’m still on the journey to make a better living, but am now trying to figure out how to do it with these new and wonderful ventures.
I have been a Realtor for 10 years, an executive assistant and office manager prior to that, but right now am loving my newest adventure of blogging, and learning to use social media to get myself out there, in front of people, and network.
I’ve also started doing some virtual writing, editing, and research for a marketing company. It’s been very interesting.
My newest venture is that I’ve become a Local Childcare Coordinator for Cultural Care Au Pair. This is not really an incoming generating venture, but it is something that I’m passionate about and I’m enjoying this new venture so far.
Join this journey with me, share with everyone you know, click “like” on the interesting posts, rate them, make comments, and let’s enjoy what develops along the way. The possibilities are endless, bring it on!!!!

Hi Lisa! Great Blog! I came to this country as an au pair! I loved the experience and after 11 yrs I am still involved with my host family
and guess what? I came here with Cultural Care Au Pair, but then they were called EF Au Pair…and I was taking care of the twin girls
Being an au pair changed my life forever and I would really recommend this program to everyone.
Hi Monika, good to hear from you. I don’t think I knew you were an au pair, that’s so cool! Cultural Care is a great company, I highly recommend them to everyone. However, I ‘m no longer working for them, it was just too much of a time sucker for the money, especially as my area was such a long drive away. I will get an au pair from them someday, if I ever get a job.
Hope you are well.
